On November 12, 2005, Deva Prabodhini—the Day of Awakening of Total Natural Law, Maharishi celebrated the “Day of Awakening of Permanent World Peace,” with special festivities in Washington, D.C. The Rajas from the U.S. gathered in our nation’s capital to announce the establishment of the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in our newly purchased building four blocks north of the White House.

Maharishi expressed a great satisfaction with the events of the day, which were organized by Raja Dean Dodrill—the Raja of Washington, D.C. Maharishi felt that all the Rajas gave beautiful expressions of pure knowledge in their talks at the inaugural banquet on Saturday. He commented that the Rajas’ expressions of the glory of God, who gave us the Vedic Literature and the Universe as represented in the first word of Rk Ved, were so soothing and fulfilling; and gave us assurance that the world will never be what it was in the past.

Maharishi said that this was the first day in the long, long, long history of the world that a set of “Experts of Administration of the Universe” were assembled in the capital of the most creative country in the world, Washington, D.C., to inaugurate a permanent capital of World Peace—such a big historic thing in the long history.

Maharishi’s celebration of the Day of Awakening of Permanent World Peace comes nearly four months after his proclamation of the dawn of Heaven on Earth—Satya Yuga—on July 21, 2005, Guru Purnima Day. Maharishi announced that his Global Peace Program, which includes establishing large numbers of peace-creating Vedic Pandits in India performing Vedic Yagyas and Grahashanti, as well as groups of peace-creating Yogic Flyers in every country, is creating coherent world consciousness—the basis of permanent world peace. World press reports since Maharishi launched his Global Peace Program in April 2005, clearly show a dramatic turnaround in world events, including rapidly increasing harmony between former enemy nations and a growing rejection by people throughout the world of destructive government policies.

“The time of destruction is over,” Maharishi proclaimed. “The light of Total Natural Law—the light of peace—is dawning for the whole world family.”

Good news From The David Lynch Foundation

The David Lynch Foundation will begin awarding scholarships for TM program tuition to select students who attended David’s East Coast campus tour.

$150,000 will be used to award TM program tuition scholarships at six college campuses—the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Yale University, Emerson College, and Brown University.
