Association President Dana St. James, 3Com, will give a brief presentation on the life and achievements of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Maharishi popularized Vedic knowledge worldwide, and introduced more than five million people to the Transcendental Meditation® program, shown through extensive scientific research to decrease risk of cardiovascular disease, increase life expectancy, and increase the creative potential of the brain.

Vaidya Upasani and Dr. Steele Belok

Our guest speakers, Vaidya Upasani and Dr. Steele Belok, will welcome the arrival of Spring with deep insight into the power of preventive care that begins with seasonal wellness. Maharishi Ayur-veda has specific recommendations for maintaining vibrant health during this time of year. Recognized by the World Health Organization as the oldest indigenous health system, Ayurveda has been successfully used for prevention and healing for thousands of years. The Maharishi RejuvenationSM program and Seasonal Wellness consultations are available locally at the Maharishi Vedic Health Center in Lancaster, MA, twice named among the best spas worldwide.

Vaidya Upasani has over 35 years of experience as a professor, researcher, and practicing Ayurvedic physician. He is a retired professor at the Department of Interpathy Research & Technology at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India. He has a Maharashtra Faculty of Ayurveda Medicine degree from Mumbai, and a D.P.C. (Panchkarma), an M.D. (Ayu) and a Ph.D. (Ayu) from Pune University.

Steele Belok M.D. is a Staff Physician in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA, a regional teaching hospital closely affiliated with the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Belok is also Medical Director of Maharishi Vedic Health Center in Lancaster, MA.
